UAB Achievements

Economic & Financial Impact

Our Developmental – Economic & Financial Roles

The UAB plays an integral and leading role in developing the Arab banking industry in accordance with the international improvements and advancements of the Arab region. The UAB calls for the development of Arab banks and financial institutions to advance in the direction of universal banking, easing the constraints of functional and sectorial specialization, by deepening the functions of traditional banks or by creating new leadership roles for them. The UAB continues work to introduce innovative banking and financial instruments throughout the Arab-banking marketplace, ensuring a practical supervisory culture geared towards the provision of banking stability in the Arab region. In light of rapid global transformations, the UAB categorically intervened as a participant party in the formulation of the new rules and trends of the global banking and financial system.

The UAB has developed a new role in promoting trade, investment and tourism within the Arab region, given the importance of these economic themes for Arab banking practice and economic development in the Arab world. The UAB continues to encourage Arab financial and banking institutions to identify and promote trade investment and tourism projects available in the Arab world, encouraging the participation of bank funds in joint Arab economic, trade, investment, and tourism projects. The UAB plays a significant role in the expansion of initiatives and innovative ventures supporting joint Arab cooperation at both the banking and economic levels.

The UAB has successfully overcome the logistical and financial constraints caused by the rapid events in the Arab countries which commenced in 2011, and have yet to be resolved.
